A Condensed History of Grace's Hair

Back in February, 2006, Grace had some lovely locks.
This is the "before" picture

. . . and here is the "after" picture.
She wasn't feeling reserved that day.

Two and a half years later (September 2008), hair an inch or two from the waist. getting impossible to brush. still some places in the front where the hair is shorter from the original cut (it's always made a nice "layered" look).

And now, the sophisticated Kindergarten look. All one length for the first time in her sweet little life. Mommy cut it this time, though. Not sure if it is just right, but the little princess is satisfied so far.

Note: Actually, I was going to cut 10 inches and give it to "Locks of Love", but Grace insisted that it not be any shorter than her shoulders (which is good because I can still put it in a pony tail), so we cut 8 inches instead. She kept saying "Mommy! don't cut it anymore. I can feel it on my neck. I don't want it on my neck!". I realize I have spent way too much time on this silly blog entry about a silly subject. Either way about it, the hair just had to go. The twice daily brushing routine was getting to be much too much of an ordeal.
