As we were walking to school this morning, that nasty substance that is not quite rain, not quite snow was blinding us, and insulting my sunburned face no matter what direction I faced. I was feeling rather grateful for all the time we spent outside over the weekend - almost every minute of daylight time I think. Don't get me wrong - I love rain more than anything, especially knowing how much we need it. It's just that Monday morning + that sleet-like stuff didn't exactly make me jump for joy. So the house is messy, but we soaked up plenty of spring this weekend! We decided Grace was long overdue for learning how to ride a bicycle without the training wheels. Thankfully Uncle Ben fixed up Olivia's old bike for Grace, so we headed up to Uintah to give it a try. She didn't even want my help, so I was able to get a couple of video clips of the process. It literally took Grace less than five minutes to get the hang of it. This bike is so much better (size, quality, and lack of clunky training wheels) than what she was using. No wonder it was so easy!
While at Uintah, a sweet little girl brought her brand new Spaniel-Pug mix, and it was adorable! Olivia was right on that for the rest of the time we were there.
