Happy Earth Day to You, Happy Earth Day to You . . .

Ever since I picked up Grace and her friend Phoebe from school to take them to dance, I've been reprimanded about not being nice to the earth today. Grace summed it up well by saying "Mommy, you shouldn't drive the car today because it makes the earth sick on its birthday!" She also got upset with me for using the sprayer in the bath (too much water) and she was digging through our recycling bin imagining what to create with jars, boxes, and paper. It has been a good reminder to cut down on power, gas, and water use and to be more creative. I think I'll ride my bike to work next week.

Here's a few pictures of the girls at dance today (it was parent day). There's no better way to celebrate our beautiful and giving earth than through dance, and new kittens too (I couldn't resist shooting a few of the brand new kitten outside the dance studio)!
