Spring Break

The kids were out of school all of last week for Spring Break, but I had to work Monday-Thursday. It also snowed. Let's just say we were long overdue for a little getaway. Since we moved back to Utah three years ago, we haven't left Utah for any other reason than to take the kids to be with their dad in North Carolina. So we took a last minute trip to St. George with Grandma, Aunt Jill, and Izabella [o.k., so we didn't actually leave Utah, but we came close!]. Poor Isaac was way outnumbered! Two miracles stand out, besides the fact that we actually had time to do this: fitting seven of us with luggage in Grandma's Hyundai, and having seven relatively happy travelers both ways. We stayed in a great condo near Bloomington, and for the most part it was a lovely place. Next time we hope there's water in the pool! That was quite a surprise, which we remedied by going to Green Valley and using their pool (for a small fee). There was also an amazing park close to our condo complete with a splash pad, play equipment, a large field, and tennis courts - all surrounded by the beautiful scenery. Overall, even with the bumps and delays, it was a successful trip. We even managed to squeeze in a little hike in Zion National Park on the way home. Can you believe that was my kids' first time visiting Southern Utah? We can't wait to go back and explore more in the future!

Here's a little album . . .

Great pics--the ones that I took didn't turn out so well. I feel like I don't even need to blog about the trip anymore because you've done such a good job! It was nice to get away for a sunny weekend.
